Then she became a member of the Ultimate Fighting Championships. When she joined the UFC in 2011 she was known as a household name thanks to the popularity she enjoyed both in and out of the octagon. Namajunas was born June 29th 1993 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian Immigrant family. Rose was involved in a variety of sports as a child like basketball, and kickboxing. When she was 18 years old, she made her professional debut for Invicta Fighting Championships where she fought two times through submission. Dana White noticed this and on December 14, 2014, at the age of 22 she signed her to fight as a strawweight in the UFC. Throughout Rose her career, she's gone through periods of both the highs and lows with each times she has come out ahead. Rose took on Carla Esparza on April 15 of 2015 to win the Women s Strawweight Championship. Rose beat Esparza with a technical knockout within less than 3 minute of Round One. Rose not only took home the title but she was also named Fighter Of The Night. Rose has also created MMA history with this match as she became the first woman to challenge for a champion title within an organization that is a major one. Namajunas then went on to win a few other fights. She also defeated Joanna Jedrzejczyk two times, earning the Performance Of The Night awards from UFC.
