Rose took on Carla Esparza on April 15 of 2015 to win the Women s Strawweight Championship. Rose beat Esparza with a technical knockout within less than 3 minute of Round One. Rose not only took home the title but she was also named Fighter Of The Night. Rose has also created MMA history with this match as she became the first woman to challenge for a champion title within an organization that is a major one. Namajunas then went on to win a few other fights. She also defeated Joanna Jedrzejczyk two times, earning the Performance Of The Night awards from UFC.
